Joseph Bagnall & Elizabeth Guest

Joseph Bagnall, was born 27 August 1798 in Masbro', Rotherham, Yorkshire and was baptised 14 Oct 1798 in Rotherham All Saints. Joseph was married about 1820 in Sheffield St Peter to Elizabeth Guest.

On 27 April 1829, Joseph was convicted at York, of stealing copper coin, and was sentenced to be transported for 7 years. He departed from London on board Manilius 2, on 6 April 1830 and arrived in Tasmania on 12 August 1830.

Children of Joseph and Elizabeth:

John Bagnall, born 13 August 1825 in Masbro' Rotherham, Yorkshire, baptised 8 October 1829 in Masbrough Independant Chapel, Rotherham.

Ann Bagnall, born 4 October 1827 in Masbro' Rotherham, Yorkshire, baptised 21 October 1827 in Rotherham All Saints.

Mary Bagnall, born 20 September 1829 in Masbro' Rotherham, Yorkshire, baptised 8 October 1829 in Masbrough Independant Chapel, Rotherham.

Notes:

John and Mary were baptised after Joseph had been convicted, and Mary was also born after his conviction, so Joseph probably never saw his youngest daughter.

I have so far been unable to find any further trace of Elizabeth and the three children.
